Film Laboratory
FotoKem's world famous lab offers film processing and printing services for 65/70mm, 35mm, and 16mm motion picture film. Operating continuously since 1963, it remains one of the few laboratories committed to quality celluloid services in a digital media environment.
65/70MM OFFERINGS
- Color negative processing: normal, push, pull and skip bleach
- Drygate and wetgate printing: answer prints, release prints and intermediate formats; Dynamic light changes that can
alter exposure to 1/300 of a printer point - Optical printing: Academy Award™ -winning IMAGICA optical drygate/wetgate printer handles format conversions from
any 65mm format to any 35mm format - Negative assembly: inspection, cueing, DTS track syncing, splice repair and condition reports
(Note: FotoKem also offers complete HD telecine and dailies services for every format, 16mm, 35mm and 65/70mm.)
35MM OFFERINGS
- Color and B&W negative processing: normal, push, pull and skip bleach (color only)
- Drygate and wetgate printing: answer prints, release prints and intermediate formats; High-speed "loop" release printing;
Proof printing to maximize efficiency, utilized in tandem with "DigiProofer" system to enhance color timing accuracy;
Dynamic light changes that can alter exposure to 1/300 of a printer point - Optical printing: 35mm to 16mm and 16mm to 35mm
- Optical sound tracks: from mag, digital tape and .wav file sources
- Negative assembly: inspection, cueing, optical track syncing, splice repair and condition reports
- "Daylite" 4hr process/print turnaround available upon request
(Note: FotoKem uses Kodak and Fuji duplicating print and negative stocks. No processing of B&W reversal.
Color reversal can be developed as cross processing to a negative format.)
